Cynthia has a Bachelor of Science Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas School of Allied Health, Kansas City, Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency from the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Education.  Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Cynthia the Clinical Head of Rehabilitation at the Spinal Unit.  Prior to this she was a Partner Physician in Colorado Spring, worked at Virginia Mason Medical Centre in Seattle, Washington and at Northern Colorado Medical Centre in Greeley Colorado as an Inpatient Rehabilitation Consultant. She has worked in Rehabilitation for over 25 years.

Suresh Subranamian

Suresh joined the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation unit after completing his Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship. He graduated from medical school in India and following completion of orthopaedic residency, worked in India and Kuwait before moving to New Zealand in 2006.

Suresh started his career in New Zealand as an orthopaedic registrar before embracing Rehabilitation Medicine. He successfully completed his training through the Auckland based Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM) training program and was awarded fellowship in 2011. During his training he developed a special interest in spinal cord medicine, spasticity and neurogenic bladder management.
